Direct mail for franchise & multi-location

Franchise postcards: one program, every location, local by design

Direct mail postcards for franchisors and multi-location businesses: brand-controlled templates with per-location versions, saturation and customer-list mail for every unit in one print run, co-op funding and response codes by location.

A franchise needs the brand to look identical in every city and the offer to be local in every mailbox. We build the postcard templates once with the brand team, lock what must not change, and let each location fill in its address, offer and routes. The whole system prints in one run, each unit's cards carry its own code so the franchisor can count responses by location, and co-op or marketing-fund dollars can be applied per location.

Home services, restaurants, fitness, tutoring, senior care, salons, cleaning, pest control and automotive franchises run saturation and customer-list postcards this way, from ten units to a thousand.

What franchise & multi-location businesses mail

  • Locked brand templates with per-location variable fields
  • New unit openings: two saturation drops around the new location
  • System-wide seasonal drops with local offers and routes
  • Brand approval of every location's proof before it prints
  • Co-op and marketing fund allocation per location
  • Response codes per location, drop and offer

Brand control without a bottleneck

The template locks the logo, colors, legal lines and layout; the location edits only the fields the brand allows: address, hours, offer from an approved list, routes. Brand approval holds a location's proof until the marketing team signs off. Every location's cards are printed in the same run, so the color matches from Phoenix to Boston.

Two sizes across the system

A franchise program needs two cards, not twenty. The 6×11 jumbo goes out as saturation mail for openings and seasonal drops around each unit; the 5×8.25 is the lower-cost card for mail to each location's past customers. Every location orders from the same pair, so the brand team approves two layouts once and every unit mails from them.

Counting response by location

Every location's cards carry their own code, so responses can be tallied by unit, drop and offer. That is enough for the marketing team to see which units are mailing, which offers work and which markets need help, and for a franchisee to see what its own drops brought in.

One card with a version for each location is printed and mailed as a single order through the postcard mailing service.

Franchise & Multi-Location direct mail questions

Can franchisees order their own mail?

Yes. A location picks an approved template, sends its details and its routes or customer list, and the order goes through brand approval before it prints. Orders start at 1,000 pieces, so most locations can mail on their own, and smaller ones can go out together in a system-wide run. Billing can go to the location, the franchisor or a co-op fund.

How do you keep the brand consistent across locations?

Templates are built with the brand team and locked: logo, colors, layout and legal lines cannot be changed, while approved fields such as address, offer and routes can. All locations print in the same production run for consistent color.

Can you mail a new franchise location opening?

Yes. An opening is usually two saturation drops to the routes around the new unit, one before the doors open and one after, quoted together and booked on the mail dates of whichever of our three print partners covers that market.

Can each franchise location mail its own routes?

Yes. Every unit picks the carrier routes around its own address, and the whole system still prints in one run. Because each of our three print partners has its own distribution and mail dates, a system-wide drop can land on different days in different regions, and each location is told its date before anything prints.
