Direct mail for e-commerce & dtc brands
E-commerce postcards: win-back, VIP and seasonal mail to your own customers
Direct mail postcards for e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands: win-back cards to lapsed buyers, VIP offers, seasonal drops and 6×11 mini lookbooks, mailed to your own customer file and measured by code and holdout.
Online brands discovered direct mail when digital ad costs rose and email open rates fell. A postcard to a lapsed customer, a VIP offer to the top 20% of the file, a seasonal lookbook to everyone who bought last year: each reaches a customer at home, off screen, in a format that is kept, at a cost per conversion that has made mail a standard channel for DTC brands.
The list is the one you already own. Export the segment from your store platform or email tool and send it; the cards are printed and mailed as one batch, First-Class or Marketing Mail, on a date booked with one of our three print partners, and every drop carries codes so it can be measured against a holdout.

Measuring mail like a digital channel
Every card carries a unique code and URL; conversions are matched by code, by URL and by household name and address against orders. A holdout group, a slice of the same segment that is not mailed, gives incremental lift, which is the number that matters. Most brands see the highest incremental return on win-back, where the audience already knows the brand, and the highest absolute revenue on seasonal drops to the house file.
The 6×11 as a mini lookbook
A 6×11 postcard shows four or five products at a size that reads, with a QR code to the collection and a code for the offer. Mailed to the top segment of the customer file two to four times a year, it does much of what a catalog did at a fraction of the cost, and it is kept on the counter for weeks.
Win-back and VIP cards mailed to your own customer file go out through the postcard mailing service.

E-commerce & DTC Brands direct mail questions
How do e-commerce brands use direct mail?
Mostly to their own customer file: win-back cards to lapsed customers, VIP offers to the best ones, cross-sell cards to buyers of one line, and seasonal drops to everyone who bought in the last year. Each drop is a segment exported from the store, mailed as one batch and measured by unique codes and a holdout group like any digital channel.
What file do you need from our store?
A spreadsheet export of the segment with names and mailing addresses, plus any field you want printed per card, such as a first name, a code or the product they bought. The addresses are standardized and move-updated before mailing. Orders start at 1,000 pieces, so a smaller segment can share a drop with another, each getting its own version of the card.
How much does an e-commerce postcard mailing cost?
It is quoted for the drop: the card size, the quantity, the mail class and any per-card printing, with postage set by the USPS. Send the segment size and the card you want through the quote form for a written quote.
How do you know a postcard drove a sale?
Every card carries its own code and URL, and orders are matched by code, by URL and by name and address. A holdout group that qualified but wasn't mailed shows the incremental lift. Win-back cards usually show the highest return, because those customers already know the brand.
